Author Guidelines

These guidelines provide authors with detailed information on preparing, formatting, and submitting manuscripts to the Awake to Power Journal of Productivity and Innovation. All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

1.1 Manuscript Types Accepted

We accept the following types of submissions:

  • Research Articles (5,000–8,000 words)
  • Short Research Notes (2,000–3,500 words)
  • Case Studies / Applied BI & Analytics Projects (2,000–4,000 words)
  • Review Articles (up to 8,000 words)
  • Perspectives / Policy Briefs (800–1,500 words)
  • Technical Notes / Toolkits (1,000–3,000 words)
  • Book or Software Reviews (800–1,200 words)

1.2 Formatting Requirements

  • Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12pt
  • Spacing: Double-spaced
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • Page numbers: Bottom center
  • Referencing Style: APA 7th Edition

Tables & Figures:

  • Number consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1)
  • Provide clear titles and captions
  • Upload figures as separate high-resolution files (PNG/JPEG/SVG)

1.3 Manuscript Structure (Recommended)

Your manuscript should be organized in the following order:

  • Title
  • Abstract (250 words maximum)
  • Keywords (4–6 keywords)
  • Introduction
  • Literature Review / Background
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Recommendations / Practical Implications
  • Acknowledgements (if any)
  • Author Contributions (CRediT taxonomy)
  • Conflicts of Interest
  • Data Availability Statement
  • References
  • Appendices (optional)

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • The submission is original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
  • The manuscript file is in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).
  • The manuscript follows APA 7th referencing guidelines.
  • A blinded version of the manuscript has been uploaded (no author identities).
  • A separate title page has been uploaded with full author information.
  • Figures and tables are uploaded as separate files with captions.
  • Ethical clearance is included for research involving human participants (if applicable).
  • A data availability statement is included in the manuscript.
  • All authors’ ORCID IDs are provided (recommended).
  • The author agrees to the journal’s open-access and copyright policy (CC BY 4.0).
